I will be doing four (!?!!!) shows in May! I’m really excited about it, but it does mean I’ve been a bit hunkered down for these past couple of weeks. I’ll have some new things to show at all four shows, plus a few old favorites.

First up, I’ll be at the Vagabond Indie Craft Fair at Urban Bazaar in San Francisco, on May 5th from noon til 7pm. All the details can be found here. They’ll have a bakesale out front, and I am planning on bringing dangerous gluten-free rumballs! This is a lovely show in the backyard of this truly nifty shop in the Inner Sunset neighborhood. I love being outside all day, and this is a very relaxed and friendly event.

The PG&E Women’s Network Spring Bazaar will be a lunchtime event on Wednesday May 9th. It’s another outdoor event, with food trucks. I haven’t been able to find a lot of information about this online, but I know the PG&E Women’s Network provides scholarships. The show will be held at 77 Beale Street, near the fountain, from 11am till 4pm.

After that, I will be heading up to Portland for the excellent Crafty Wonderland show, on May 12th. This one will be at the Oregon Convention Center. I’m really excited about this one, since it’s the day before my birthday! I am taking the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Portland so I can check it all out; last year I flew up for the show and came back home on the same day and, zowie. It was a fun whirlwind of a time, but man, I was beat afters. So, I’m looking forward to seeing more than the convention center and the airport this time. Any suggestions?

The following weekend is the mighty Maker Faire! I will be part of the Bazaar Bizarre this year. The Maker Faire is a huge and fun and extra-interesting event, and I’m always happy to be even a tiny part of it. My very first show ever was in the Bazaar Bizarre at the Maker Faire back in 2007, and I’m delighted to be included again. I’m not sure if I will be bringing the ice cream cart this time, but I do hope to. More details as the time approaches. The Maker Faire will be in San Mateo on May 19th and 20th, and it’s absolutely worth checking out.

Hope to see you soon!
